He has served as an Adjunct Professor in the School Counseling Program at both San Diego State University and Azusa Pacific University. In 2015 Dean was appointed by then State Superintendent Tom Torlakson to serve on the Student Mental Health Policy Workgroup to help advance the cause of mental health in California schools.

He has presented at both state and national conferences on topics related to school counseling, substance abuse prevention, grant writing, and suicide prevention. Dean is especially interested in working with students and families to collaboratively build plans to help students be successful in school and life.

He enjoys building relationships and getting to know the strengths, skills, and sometimes hidden talents of others. Recently, Dean has been working as an Educational Consultant with school districts in California to help build tiered supports to improve student outcomes.

For fun, Dean enjoys spending time with his wife, his four grown children, and his two granddaughters. He likes to hike, backpack, fish (even though he rarely catches anything), and read. He also takes great pleasure in watching baseball and listening to music.

Teresse is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Therapist, who also holds a credential in School Social Work. She brings a very well-rounded experience of working in the educational, government, and private sectors, to intervene on behalf of some of society’s most vulnerable populations; children. As a proud graduate of the USC School of Social Work (go Trojans!), Teresse brings heart, education and experience to the core of our community.

Teresse is a proud wife and mommy of three boys who enjoys spending her free time having a good laugh, relaxing with her family, and watching inspirational documentaries.

For the last several years, Linda has worked as a Red Cross volunteer, providing people with food, shelter, and mental health support during major disasters. She also worked as a volunteer elementary, middle school and high school counselor for Murrieta Valley Unified School District. A few months ago, Linda and her dog, Buddy became a certified therapy dog team. She and Buddy visit hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and libraries.

Prior to her career in the field of education, Renée spent time working in large tech companies such as IBM, Digital Equipment Corporation and Hewlett Packard as a Marketing Representative. While at Digital she volunteered to spearhead the Community Relations Committee and it was in this capacity they adopted a school in Los Angeles and began to build the morale of the teaching staff through tech training. While on this project, she developed a partnership with Ryder to build a roaming tech lab to venture into the community and teach computer skills to parents. This broad work experience helped Renée develop a love for schools and to better understand how to galvanize the community to help families.

Currently, Renée is working as a Leadership Coach for the Los Angeles County Office of Education helping school administrators and leadership teams to build positive school cultures to support healthy, productive learning environments. Renee’s free time is spent hiking (on the beach), roller skating (in the rink), and traveling.

She is joyful and grateful to be expecting her first grandson soon.

A member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, Frank is proud of his Native American heritage. He seeks to provide specialized support for tribal youth and families by helping them to carve the path to life after high school, by working with students on their career/college plan and social-emotional learning areas, such as self-awareness, responsible decision making, and self-management.

Frank is currently pursuing his second master’s degree in social emotional learning. He lives in Murrieta, CA and is originally from San Diego. He stays true to his roots as a Padres fan and Chargers fan (even though they moved to LA). Frank loves spending time with his wife of 19 years, 16-year-old daughter, 15-year-old son, and three dogs. He gets outdoors to hike and camp as much as possible and believes in the healing powers of nature.

From 2012 to 2022, Bob and his wife coordinated over 50 Southern California regional college fairs in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange and Riverside counties. His post-retirement work has included contract consultant work with CDE and LACOE as well as four years of technical assistance coaching for the Department of Labor. He was also a school counseling program adjunct professor at CSULB until from 2006 to 2018.
