One student, ONE FAMILY AT A TIME

Work Together Towards A Plan For Success

Just ListenED specializes in creating space for student and family voices in education. We help school personnel learn how to conduct a structured family interview that provides students and families with an opportunity to work collaboratively in building a plan for student safety and success at school. The interview includes opportunities to discuss the student’s strengths and skills in the areas of academics, social-emotional, interpersonal, and cognitive skills.

Through a conversation which takes place in a confidential setting, students and parents will have an opportunity to talk about their concerns and will be partners in building a plan for success. Equity happens one student at a time, this interview provides an opportunity to listen to the student and parents to learn what they need and to link them to the resources that will assist them in meeting their goals.
